projekt202 Internal Development
Throughout my time at projekt202 I had the opportunity to apply tools and methods from my past experiences to help grow the capabilities of the experience research and strategy team as well as the overall projekt202 business.
Tools for Business Development
Collaborating with the General Manager of projekt202, I created a tool to help the business development team speak with people in leadership positions at prospective client organizations. The tool helped translate the value of the design work done at projekt202 into tangible business results.
Teaching Innovation Methods/Identifying New Business Opportunities
I led various innovation training workshops, bringing in methods from my education at the Institute of Design to help build capabilities within the team while simultaneously identifying opportunities for new products and services.
Tools for Measuring Impact
Working with the Senior Vice President of Research and Strategy, I led the thinking and development of a framework for measuring the impact of the work done at projekt202.
Tools for Business Development
Tools for Business Development
This was the question on the mind of the General Manager of projekt202. His business development team was struggling to connect stories of past project successes to the challenges on the minds of prospective clients. The stories being told were too focused on the design work being done and not enough on the value that design work provided to the clients' businesses. He wanted to provide his business development team with tools that would enable them to tell more impactful and resonant stories to grow the projekt202 business.
Through interviewing multiple members of the business development team and senior management, we identified the need to frame conversations around quantified problems. The tool above is the first in a series which gives the business development team this ability. It quantfies the problem in terms of waste to the client's business, identifies how projekt202 solved the problem through design, and finally explains that early pilots were exceeding expectations.

Ten Types of Innovation Activity Worksheet
Workshop Recap
Using the Ten Types of Innovation Framework from the Doblin Group, I led the Experience Strategy and Insight Group in Austin through innovation methods training. Additionally, I created a template to enable anyone throughout the company to lead the activity.
Resulting from the Ten Types innovation activity, I identified five major business opportunity areas for projekt202. These included ESI micro-products, ESI experiences, and ESI-as-a-service.
